Stan, the joint venture paid streaming service owned by the Nine Network and Fairfax, has signed an output deal with Hollywood's CBS Studios.

CRICKET: Yesterday's NSW Country Cricket Championship final has been postponed to February after the host city Orange had one of its wettest days this year in the lead-up to the match.
According to weatherzone.com, more than 27 millimetres of rain fell in the city on Saturday, bringing to a halt all Orange District Cricket Association first, second and third grade games while also forcing ODCA administration into calling off the Western Zone and Newcastle country championship decider. CRICKET: Newtown has survived its toughest test to date in the 2014/15 Whitney Cup season, beating Macquarie by 49 runs in their two-day match at No.2 Oval.
Macquarie started the second day of the game on 0-17 in reply to Newtown's first innings total of 215 but it was the 'Skinner Show' as brothers Mat and Steve took all 10 wickets between them. Read more here.
CRICKET: Dropped catches may have cost CYMS victory in their Whitney Cup clash with Rugby on Saturday, but Cougars captain Ben O'Donnell still took plenty of positives out of the match.
Needing just two wickets in order to beat the defending champions, CYMS' charge was cut short by rain and lightning as Rugby limped to 8-146 in pursuit of the 222 O'Donnell's side scored on day one. Read more here.
RACING: A return to the track where she scored a brilliant victory and being adept in wet conditions are two factors apprentice jockey Eleanor Webster-Hawes believes can help Just Pay Up return to winning form today.

Four people who were initially unaccounted for after a fierce blaze engulfed a home in central western NSW may be on holidays interstate, firefighters say.
Emergency services were called to Medlyn Street in Parkes at 5.15am on Monday to reports that the single-storey home was well alight.
Superintendent Paul Johnson, from Fire and Rescue NSW, said firefighters who arrived first at the home were unable to enter the building because of the intense heat and flames - Read more here.

A semi-trailer may have crashed into her house at the weekend but Geurie's Joanne Elliott thinks she is the luckiest woman in the world.
She got one hell of an awakening when the truck slammed into her brick residence about 6.15am Saturday, but miraculously neither she nor any of the house's other occupants received so much as a scratch.
Ms Elliott said she heard something that sounded like a train but "a trillion times louder then the screeching and screaming of metal" as the truck ploughed into the Mitchell Highway side of the property, which sits on the corner of Severn Street. Click here for more photos.

Tax breaks for housing, shares and superannuation could all be scrapped, and GST could apply more broadly if the Abbott government listens to the final recommendations of the financial systems inquiry.
The report by former Commonwealth Bank chief executive David Murray suggests a raft of tax breaks distort borrowing, including negative gearing, capital gains tax concessions and dividend imputation. Read more here.

IT was a wild week across NSW with thunder, hail and lightning reported across much of the state.
Some regions fared worse than others. Flood warnings were issued for parts of Bega and along the South Coast at the weekend.
The Bureau of Meteorology predicts the rain could continue with a medium chance of rain and thunderstorms across NSW and the ACT up until Wednesday with north-east to south-westerly winds on the cards.
After a 1200 kilometre walk, The Block Glasshousenewlyweds, Max and Karstan, are finally home in Newcastle.
Little nippers lined the entrance to Dixon Park in a guard of honour as the visibly exhausted but upbeat couple took their final steps. Read more here.

The cost of undergoing chemotherapy will be high on the agenda at a forum in Dubbo this week that will lobby for a better deal for cancer patients from rural and regional NSW.

A Dubbo man thought he "was about to die" at the point passengers smelt smoke and saw one of two propellers stop spinning during their flight to Sydney.
