Four people who were initially unaccounted for after a fierce blaze engulfed a home in central western NSW may be on holidays interstate, firefighters say.

Emergency services were called to Medlyn Street in Parkes at 5.15am on Monday to reports that the single-storey home was well alight.
Superintendent Paul Johnson, from Fire and Rescue NSW, said firefighters who arrived first at the home were unable to enter the building because of the intense heat and flames.
The roof then started to collapse, Superintendent Johnson said.
"The first report we received is that four persons were unaccounted for," he said.
However he said the latest report suggested the four people who lived at the home were on holidays in South Australia.
Firefighters had not been able to enter the home by 6.30am to confirm whether anyone was inside, he said.
The cause of the fire was not known.
