7.50am: We have some great news about Matthew McAllister, the Dubbo man who was reported missing yesterday.
He is alive and well after reporting to a police station.
Mr McAllister was reported missing by concerned family after he was last seen in Douglas Mawson Drive on Wednesday but after hearing the search for his whereabouts, the 36-year-old has confirmed he is safe.

7.40am: In sports news, Dubbo trainer Frank Hayes is hoping his two-year-old Mutamann can avoid a repeat of his pre-race scratching a fortnight ago when he lines up in a maiden plate at Parkes tomorrow.

* BATHURST: The family of Jessica Small say they want police to learn from deficiencies that existed while investigating the teenager's disappearance in 1997.
* ORANGE: Work has recommenced at Orange airport almost a month after being put on hold when the former project manager was placed into voluntary administration.
* NATIONAL: Some of Australia's top clothing labels are employing migrant workers up to 15 hours a day and paying them as little as $5 an hour.
* NATIONAL: Despite this year's federal budget being one of the toughest in 20 years, Australians do not feel overtaxed according to a survey.
7.25am: Playmates Cottage are expected to know their future by September as the State government decides whether it will use the land for other health services. Playmates' cause has been helped by the 10,500 signatures they collected from concerned residents.
Under the law, the issue now has to be debated in state parliament and Troy Grant has praised the passion his electorate has shown on the issue.

*DUBBO: The future of Playmates Cottage child care centre will be debated in NSW Parliament after more than 10,500 signatures were presented to Dubbo MP Troy Grant yesterday.
*NARROMINE: Federal and state funding for CCTV cameras is available to Narromine, according to member for Dubbo, Troy Grant.
*NYNGAN: The 22nd annual Nyngan Ag Expo is shaping up to be the best yet later this month.
*WELLINGTON: MOBILE phones were discovered hidden in a wall cavity during a weekend search carried out at Wellington Correctional Centre.
