AN EAST Dubbo family is devastated after cowardly attackers bashed their dog to death.
Rhonda Dorin said she took the stray dog in about six months ago after she had seen him wandering the streets.
But two weekends ago she was horrified to find the dog had been killed. "I found him dead on the front verandah on the Sunday night, it was between about 10.30 and 10.45pm," she said.
"He had a split down the front of his head and he just sort of flopped - they had broken his back. I buried him the next day."
