It's been a year since the passing of the much-loved Narromine elder, and his widow Ruth Carney said it would be "a day for Dick" to say thank you to the community for all their support.
The day will begin with a free sausage sizzle, jumping castle and more from 12pm at Oslen Oval in Narromine on May 22.
From 4pm there will be an afternoon tea at the Narromine USMC followed by a recorded screening of autobiographical theatre production A Little Piece of Heaven featuring Mr and Mrs Carney.
Following the screening a Q&A session will be held with Mrs Carney and the director John Harvey.

The day will end with a karaoke competition held downstairs of the Narromine USMC, with competitors singing it out for the inaugural Dick Carney memorial trophy.
It will be a hard day for Mrs Carney, but she's looking forward to the chance to celebrate with the community.
"We were married for 57 years and joined at the hip," she said.
"It's not the end, he'll live on in my heart and through my eyes for the rest of my life."
The event is being hosted by Orana Arts and supported by the Narromine USMC, Narromine Coles, Narromine Butchery, Narromine Shire Council, Narromine High School, Narromine Preschool and Kindergarten and the Narromine Christian School.
Orana Arts executive director Alicia Leggett said due to COVID the community were unable to give a proper goodbye to Mr Carney, therefore the day was an opportunity to do that.
"Uncle Dick Carney was an incredibly humble and hardworking man," she said.
"This day is to support Uncle Dick's legacy and to continue inspiring young people especially young First Nations People to become their own storytellers."
Mrs Carney said she was "so exited" the event was finally happening, and thanked Orana Arts for their "wonderful" support.
