The launch coincided with the 2021 Dubbo Fringe Festival.
Dubbo Regional Council acting mayor, Clr Stephen Lawrence officiated the launch.
Outer Space, Inner Minds, one of the two publications, editor and publisher Dr David Reiter was also invited to speak at the event covering topics from his 'unique publication' to the current trends in digital composing and publishing.
The second publication, Sky Dreamings: an Inland Skywriters Anthology was written and edited by Forbes-based author Dr Merrill Findlay.
Both publications showcase poetry and prose about how humans respond creatively to the mysteries of the Cosmos and the challenges of astronomy and space exploration.
The event was free to the public and saw 10 authors and poets read from their works followed by book signings.

Among them was Dubbo author and Outback Writers Centre president Val Clark and Russian-born poet Tatiana Bonch.
The event was co-hosted by Dubbo's Outback Writers Centre, Big Skies Collaboration's Skywriters Project, and the books' publisher, Interactive Publications P/L.
