Among them was D'Nelle and Adam Lemon with their three sons Memphis, Olympus and Atlantis.
Mrs Lemon, a mother of five whose husband had organised the surprise outing for her, said it was the perfect setting.
"[Lazy River Estate] is a complete asset to Dubbo," she said.
"My outlook is, the kids can run around and have fun while we relax."
Mrs Lemon also praised her husband for his efforts.
"I was totally surprised, I think the word to use is 'Insta husband'," she laughed.
Son's Atlantis and Memphis agreed the venue was a great choice.
"It's very spacious and there are a lot of things to do," Memphis said.
"Dad did a good job."
Mrs Lemon was one of the many mums to receive a picnic package which included a bottle of wine and a candle, but it was the bracelet her sons had made for her that was her all time favourite.
Atlantis said, to him, Mother's Day is all about "giving mummy presents."
