The Tucker family recently put 525 Conrod Straight on the market, with the intention of finding a purchaser or an investor to help them develop the property for tourist accommodation.
In April, Bathurst Regional Council approved a development application (DA) that would permit cabins and a primitive campground to be built on the property.
Specifically, the proposal involves a mixed-use development incorporating the change of use of an existing dwelling to tourist and visitor accommodation, the erection of a new dwelling, construction of five new cabins and two double carports, and the establishment of a primitive camping ground and associated facilities.

Other amenities, including a pool and new machinery sheds, would also be constructed.
Owner Keith Tucker said he decided to put the property on the market to help with the development plans.
"We decided to go that way because it would have been a lot of work for one person to handle and it would have turned into a full-time job for me; I'm not looking for full-time work at the moment, I don't need to, so we thought we would share the opportunity with a lucky investor," Mr Tucker said.
"... We're looking at possibly a 50-50 joint venture, so 50 per cent of the property value now and then 50 per cent of the build costs."
In the first eight hours the property listing was live on realestate.com.au, it received more than 28,000 views, making it the most-viewed property in Australia.
Mr Tucker said they intentionally waited until Bathurst 1000 time to start the marketing campaign, hoping it would help to generate plenty of interest in the property.
It appears they made the right call.
"We believe we will have a buyer in the next seven to 10 days. The interest has been absolutely outstanding," he said.
Mr Tucker is hoping to start construction on the accommodation in the coming months.
The aim is to have it ready to use in time for the 2021 Bathurst 1000.
"With the interest we've had, we will go with the person that is full-steam ahead. We want it all done before Bathurst next year," he said.
It will help them bounce back from this year, where their revenue was down by about 70 per cent due to COVID-19.
Mr Tucker said the number of cottages on the property could be increased in 2022, depending on how successful the new accommodation is next year.
