While the Dubbo Show is known for its great rides, food and showbags, it's the entertainment on Friday night at Boardy's Bar that also attracts a large crowd.
This year's entertainment will be provided by Newcastle's The Viper Creek Band who will surely get audiences up and dancing with their modern country tunes.
Singer Damien Baguely, together with bandmates Ruben Andrew, Jeremy Minett and Brad Rheinverger said they are no stranger to Dubbo, having played here before and were eager to get back.
"We did a show at Dubbo RSL... a few years ago now and it was a lot of fun and a lot of people turned up," Damien said.
"So we were pretty stoked when we got the call to play at the Dubbo Show."
Damien said he'd spoken to friends in the music industry who had played at previous Dubbo Shows and heard it was a fun gig.
"We're definitely looking forward to getting to the Show and cannot wait to get to Dubbo... and show them what we've got," he said.
Damien said the band wasn't "traditional country", and that Dubbo audiences should expect a more modern country music sound.
"It's a pretty high energy show, we don't just stand there, we wan't the crowd to feed off our energy and us to feed of theirs," he explained.
"It's a pretty intense couple of hours that we'll be on stage and doing our thing."
The rockstar dream certainly became a reality for Damien when he put together the Newcastle based band in 2011.
Growing up in the north-western, rural town of Narrabri, Damien said he's always been a country music fan.
"But played rock music from my teens onward, but was I always had a plan that once I turned 30 I was going to put a country album out," he said.
Since forming the Viper Creek Band have gone on to have huge success in Australia, with their 2014 debut album reaching the number two spot on the ARIA Australian Country Albums chart.
"It was only ever supposed to be fun, something that was never meant to be what it is today," he explained.
"Seven years later we've been to the (United) states a few time splaying, we've been to Canada, New Zealand, we've been all over Australia and played every major festival..
"I'm not complaining, it's been a lot of fun."
