NSW RFS Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons said six members had received Australian Fire Service Medals, in recognition of their hard work and dedication across a combined total of more than 200 years.
Superintendent Chris Favelle did the Far West team proud, and was named on honours list along with colleagues from the Upper Lachlan District, the New England, Illawarra and Canobolas zones and the Hay Headquarters Brigade.
"These men and women represent what the NSW RFS is all about - a commitment to community, and people going above and beyond to help others," Commissioner Fitzsimmons said.
