Miss Blanco started her teaching career in 2004 at Dubbo School of Distance Education. Since then she has worked at both Dubbo College South Campus and Senior Campus in a variety of roles, including PDHPE teacher, deputy principal and reliving principal.
The new principal said she would be focusing on leading a student-centred environment.
"As a principal, I am an instructional leader, with students at the centre of all my decision making," Miss Blanco said.

"I will continue to lead the school, maximising life choices for the young adults of Dubbo, with a strong commitment to student engagement. At Dubbo College we foster a culture of high expectations, which inspires confidence in public education."
Miss Blanco said she was fortunate to lead a school of exceptional teachers and support staff.
"I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to continue to lead a school that drives ongoing improvement through strong partnerships with Dubbo local Aboriginal Education Consultative Group and Dubbo Regional Council," she said.

Dubbo College executive principal Charles Gauci said he was especially pleased with Miss Blanco's appointment.
