The sporting hub is still in the development application phase with Dubbo Regional Council but the architectural plans for the site is promising some big things.
The plans for the stage one of the facility include an indoor PCYC building and multi-purpose sporting hall fit for basketball, netball and other indoor court sports with an estimated cost of $23.3 million.
The PCYC building will consist of gym facilities, learning and storage rooms with three multi-purpose rooms on site while administrative offices will also be present on site.

There will be also be room for further expansion for tennis courts, rugby fields and netball courts in the future.
Once completed, the facility will be able to host sporting events and high performance training which will attract talent from across Australia to town while also helping boost Charles Sturt University enrolments.
Member for Dubbo Dugald Saunders said the sporting hub would benefit the region once the first shovel hit the ground.
"The Dubbo Regional Sport Hub will change the sporting landscape in the western region," he said.
"It's important we get it right so the development application process is an important step."
Mr Saunders said the government was continuing to work with groups who may make use of the facility.
"The government continues to work closely with all stakeholders, including CSU, PCYC, state sporting bodies and of course local community groups and the council to make sure the hub meets the needs of the region now and into the future," he said.
"I can't wait to see construction under way, and the local economic boost that stage of the project will bring."
The sporting hub was announced back in 2018 and was scheduled to begin construction this year but due to COVID-19 the development was delayed.
