Citizenships were honourably accepted by 94 new residents who now call Australia home.
The citizenships were given to the residents across two officiating ceremonies held by Dubbo Regional Council at the Dubbo Convention Centre.
The ceremonies are held so new residents can make their Pledge of Commitment, which is the final stage to securing citizenship.
Of those receiving their citizenship, the eldest was, Margaret Adair, who proudly made her pledge and accepted her citizenship individually.
Ms Adair joins her family members who already reside in Dubbo.
Also among our new residents is Dubbo family, Aswathy Ajith, Ajith Premchand Premachandran Ramani and their daughter Nainika Ajith.
The family of three, who originate from India, have called Dubbo home for some time now, but having their citizenship is the 'icing on the cake'.
The ceremony was led by event MC Susan Wade and 'special guest' Dubbo mayor Stephen Lawrence.
Ms Wade said making the pledge comes as a 'very special' occasion for all of those who made the decision to become Australian citizens.
"I know this is a very special occasion for you," Ms Wade said.
'The ceremony marks a very special moment for all of those becoming Australian citizens as it is the final step in completing the journey.
"I would like to congratulate each and every one of you on the decision to become an Australian citizen."
Cr Lawrence said it was important to acknowledge all individual journeys that had led to families and individuals towards coming to Australia and making the decision to obtain their citizenship and participate in their "very special" day.
"Australian citizenship is a common bond of reciprocal rights obligations and unites all Australians by respecting their diversity," Cr Lawrence said.
