The protest comes after experts during the 2021 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change classified the current climate state as "Code RED" for Climate emergency.
Dubbo Environment Group president Margaret McDonald said they are hoping for action to be taken by the federal government and Federal Member for Parkes Mark Coulton to reduce emissions across the region.
"The NSW State government has committed to a net-zero emissions policy with a 50 per cent reduction by 2030 and is progressing the infrastructure to facilitate renewable energy and green hydrogen production," Ms McDonald said.
"We commend the Environment Minister, now treasurer, Mat Keane, for these actions and look forward to the improved protection of our rivers, wetlands and forests to enhance the environmental carbon sinks required."
Ms McDonald said she now wants to see the Federal Government taking steps towards decreasing emissions across the electorate as they, in the past, 'have lacked in taking action'.

"Our own Council does not have a net zero emissions policy and needs to modernise by aligning itself with other local councils," she said.
"Our Federal MP, Mr Mark Coulton, will represent his own constituents best when he realises that "catch-up" with the rest of world may soon be too late. Good business is to be had in the region with the production of renewable energy. Other countries are already beating us to it."
Mr Coulton has responded by saying the claims that no action has been taken to reduce emissions across the electorate, as well as the region not having a net-zero emissions policy is 'untrue' and a 'lie'.
"Ms McDonald is not being truthful, as a local member of 14 years we have spent millions of dollars in general funds on renewable energy and emission reductions.
"I'm very proud of what my electorate is doing to reduce emissions and I will stand by my electorate and the government any day of the week.
"It is a combined effort- It's combined by what the State Government is doing, by what the Federal Government is doing, but also, individuals."
