Second hand goods are still being accepted by The Salvation Army Dubbo store, Emmanuel Care and the Orana Support Op Shop.
Orana Corps Salvation Army officer, captain David Sutcliffe said the Dubbo Salvo Store was accepting donations during business hours through the bins located inside the entrance to the store.
"For large amounts and bulky donations people can have a chat with our friendly staff and they will provide directions and assistance," he said.
Emmanuel Care Op Shop is currently taking donations, however, due to the high quantities accumulated throughout the pandemic, they are asking residents to only donate items in good condition.
Donations to the Emmanuel Care Op Shop will need to be taken to the Emmanuel Care Centre, located at 177 Brisbane Street, between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm Monday to Thursday.
A spokesperson for Emmanuel Care Dubbo said because of stores had not been open through COVID-19 and the stay at home orders, they currently had a large backlog of goods, which is why they were only taking good quality items.
"[Before donating] assess items for resale ability and if necessary dispose in household rubbish bins," the spokesperson said.
