After claiming the tennis earlier in the day Dubbo dropped the hockey 4-2 but the third sport of the day may prove the most critical.
Dubbo Sportsworld hosted the final two sports of the day with the home side starting the basketball game strongly, but Bathurst remained in the fight for much of the game and the score was 20-18 in favour of the hosts at three-quarter-time.
Dubbo College captain Rylee Warren took his time to get into the game and suffered a cut from his eyebrow which only seemed to help as he took over the fourth quarter.

Warren heated up with a series of tough floaters and lay-ups before hitting a three-point shot with a defender in his face put the game out of reach.
Warren along with teammates Marc Dela Cruz and Hamish Wood were Dubbo's three best throughout the game, which finished 38-26, and coach Kim Forrester agreed.
"I thought Rylee [Warren] was really good, that's why he is our captain," she said.
"Tyronne Tattersal impressed me, you could see the way he was chasing loose balls that he wanted to do all he could and that's what you want."
Wood was also impressive playing at centre and showed good speed mixed in with some agility which made for a lethal combo for the host side.
Bathurst coach Teagan Edwards felt her side were outplayed by the Dubbo team.
"It was a really tough and physical contest right from the get go," she said.
"It's always hard playing against the home team with the home crowd but obviously disappointing for our guys to not come away with the win but credit to Dubbo for playing well.
"We tried to get our match ups right with Dubbo we knew they were quite small and fast.
"I think if we put it in the big picture, the points differential isn't too huge.
"Our guys can take a lot of positivity away out of that and their efforts to maintain it and keep it as close as possible.
The agility and speed of the smaller but faster Dubbo side looked to play into the home sides hands with Dela Cruz applying pressure on the fast break.
The day one scores were tied heading into the final sport of the day in netball.
