Dubbo's Linden and Keryn Green also took out the award for best dressed couple.
Sydney lawyers Elizabeth Pakchung and Dixie Coulton were full of praise for the efforts of all the entrants.
"It's great for the district to have this, and the outfits were all very good and excellently styled," Ms Pakchung said.
"I was particularly impressed by the people that made their own outfit and millinery.
"It's so impressive, because it isn't straight forward thing and you need skill for that - so bravo to all the amazing entrants," Elizabeth said in the committee tent during the meeting."
On the track, punters backing the home trainer got off to the perfect start, with Parkes trainer Sharon Jeffries winning the first two races with Superior Power and Miss Monte.
