He said on May 24 the Dubbo clinic started taking bookings from people aged 50 years or over for the AstraZeneca jab.
The clinic, currently open from 9am to 4pm, was also offering the Pfizer vaccine to people in the phase 1a and 1b priority groups determined by the federal government, the spokesman said.
People eligible for the vaccine under the two phases include health workers, critical and high-risk workers, aged care and disability care residents and staff, and people under 50 with an underlying medical condition.
"People can confirm their eligibility and if eligible, book an appointment at their nearest clinic via the COVID-19 vaccine eligibility checker at covid-vaccine.healthdirect.gov.au/eligibility, including those in the Western NSW Local Health District," its spokesman said.
The health district has reiterated that the NSW government is inviting people aged 40 to 49 years to register their interest in receiving the Pfizer jab at www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/register-your-interest-covid-vaccination.
"They will be invited to book an appointment as soon as there is availability at their nearest vaccination clinic," the health district spokesman said.

"ATAGI has advised the Australian government that the COVID-19 vaccine AstraZeneca remains appropriate to be given to people aged 50 years and over," the health district spokesman said.
The health district is encouraging people eligible for the jab to get it.
