On Monday afternoon council announced the committee meetings would not go ahead because of the lack of quorum.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
All reports for the cancelled meetings will now be included into the agenda for the Monday, May 24 ordinary council meeting.
According to the Local Government Act, in accordance with the Code of Meeting Practice section 5.14, the Mayor may in consultation with the chief executive officer, and as far as practicable with each councillor, cancel the meeting.
