The permanent closure was announced on April 16 before the branch's final day of trade will take place on Friday May 14.
Regional General Manager, Norm Swift says it was not an easy decision to close the Orana Mall branch.
"We regularly review our branch locations across Australia to help us make informed decisions on where to open new branches, where to renovate or upgrade existing branches, and in some instances where to close branches," he said.
"Following a recent review and in line with our lease expiry, we made the difficult decision to permanently close our Orana Mall Dubbo branch. This branch has had a significant drop in transactions over the past five years."

Mr Swift also admitted the large majority of the branches staff will be offered permanent roles in other teams or roles that suit them.
"We have redeployed more than 95 per cent of staff from branches that have closed. Our people from Orana Mall Dubbo branch are supporting our customers over the phone and online as they have been since May last year, and they will be offered permanent roles in those teams or other comparable roles where it suits them," he said.
"There are no job losses as a result of this decision."
For Commonwealth customers in Dubbo they can still bank with the company with Mr Swift confirming the Macquarie Street branch will remain open.
"We've ensured customers who prefer over-the-counter service still have access to this option. For Orana Mall Dubbo customers, we have another branch in Dubbo at 188 Macquarie Street," he said.
"We've found that over 30 per cent of customers from Orana Mall Dubbo were already visiting the Dubbo branch before the Orana Mall branch temporarily closed in May 2020."
Mr Swift also added over 60 per cent of customers used nearby trading branches after the temporary closure of the Orana Mall branch.
Those customers who prefer a face-to-face option can use Bank@Post at Orana Mall.
