Nyngan will host a six race program highlighted by the Nyngan RSL Nyngan Cup.

Trainers from around the region have nominated for the $12,000 main race.

Lazy Bear, trained by Gilgandra's Bryan Dixon, looms as the early horse to beat although the six-year-old rig is coming of some mixed results. Nyngan trainer Brett Robb will be hoping Lucienne can bring him a home victory after some strong last three runs.

Nyngan Jockey Club's Wendy Robb told Racing NSW there would be some great events on Sunday.

"We have a great initiative called 'Ladies Own the Dream' whereby all ladies own a particular racehorse for the day," she said.

"Each 'owner' is able to join the presentation with the owners, jockey and trainers after each race and receive a bunch of flowers and a bottle of bubbly.

"This is all free and courtesy of Nyngan Jockey Club committee members."

Away from the racing, some beloved racing features to cater for all those who attend will be run on Sunday.

"Our Fashions on the Field has over $3000 worth of prizes and there's also our Punters Club with all unclaimed returns donated to Legacy," Robb said.

"We have free face painting and jumping castle for the kids and a Calcutta on Saturday night at Nyngan RSL - it's going to be pumping next weekend at Nyngan."
