The Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) collected the 6.6 mm in the automatic weather station at Dubbo City Regional Airport in the 24 hours to 9am Thursday
On Thursday morning the BoM had recorded a total of 6.8mm of rain for the city this March.

The tally includes the 0.2mm of rain which fell in the 24 hours to 9am March 1.
The monthly rain tally may rise with the BoM's seven-day forecast as of Thursday morning including a 95 per cent chance of rain that day, a 60 per cent chance of up to 8mm of rain on Friday and a 70 per cent chance of up to 10mm of rain on Sunday.
Average rainfall at Dubbo during the month of March is 63.5mm.
The 26-year record for the wettest March at Dubbo is held by 2017 with 223mm.
The driest March in the same period was in 2018 when just 4mm was recorded by the BoM.
