Dubbo City Toyota Apprentice Mathew Miller was named the Skillset Apprentice of The Month for January 2021, making him the first recipient of the award this year for Dubbo.
Mr Miller is employed by Skillset and has been hosted by Dubbo City Toyota where he is undertaking his fourth year of his Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
The award was presented to Mr Miller on Thursday by Skillset senior workforce consultant Rodney Ney.
"Matthew was awarded this honour for his positive approach to all tasks, adaptability in the workplace and outstanding aptitude for his trade," Mr Ney said.
In a recent RTO review, Mathew recently scored perfect As for his TAFE assessments, showcasing commitment and dedication to his apprenticeship.
"Mathew also received glowing feedback during a performance review with his host supervisor, Paul Cairncross, where he mentioned in the last six-months, Mathews on-the-job performance has been very impressive and has really improved.
"Mathew is a highly valued employee and has developed a wealth of knowledge during his apprenticeship allowing him to perform at tradesmen level.
Recipients of the award also received a $50 Buy Local Gift Card.
