While January is normally a 'quiet month' for pool installers around the Orana region, this month is proving to be a lot busier than previous years.
Megan Reakes from Narellan Pools Western Plains said January is normally a quiet month.
"There certainly is (an increase in purchasing and installation of pools), January is normally a slower month for people purchasing pools," Ms Reakes said.
"I think people ... are trying to get back to a bit of normality, the rain has helped a lot of farmers and bought some money back into peoples pockets."

There is no prejudice when it comes to those purchasing pools this summer; according to Ms Reakes a wide variety of people are gearing up for summers to come.
"I would say it's everyone from retirees, families, young working professionals with no children yet (are the purchasers)." Ms Reakes said.
Dubbo Pool World's Bernie Cox says a quiet end of the year has seen 2021 start strong.
"It was a bit quieter towards the end of last month, it's also been a cooler summer but since then there have been some strong enquiries," Mr Cox said.
Mr Cox also believes rain and a solid harvest season has caused an increase in applications for pools.
"I think people were seeing the year out and now are trying to get back to a bit of normality, the rain has helped a lot of farmers and bought some money back into peoples pockets." Mr Cox said.
Mr Cox feels that the increased spending in Dubbo has been beneficial for small, local businesses and their employees.
On the Dubbo Regional Council website 13 applications for an in-ground swimming pool have been submitted so far this year.
Dubbo Regional Council Acting Director for Development and Environment John Wisniewski feels that the Christmas holidays are the reasoning behind the increase in applications.
"Ordinarily, pool development applications are lodged prior to Christmas, as people would like them installed for the Christmas holidays," Mr Wisniewski said.
"However, Dubbo Regional Council staff still assess applications throughout January, so applications lodged over the brief Christmas break are still processed in a timely manner." Mr Wisniewski said.
