"There has been a peak between mid-December and mid-January, we were procession roughly 60,000 eligible containers per day and that jumped to 80,000 during the holiday period," Mr D'Astoli said.
Mr D'Astoli admitted the increase was well and truly expected.
"We saw the increase coming and this led us to installing another machine in the Dubbo site and we increased staff also," Mr D'Astoli said.
Dubbo ranks in third for recycling in regional NSW through the Return and Earn Scheme behind Broken Hill and Albury.
Since opening in October 2019, the St Vincent de Paul Container Deposit Site has rarely been empty.
Locals can receive 10c per every eligible container back in a refund or can donate some or all of the refund directly back to the organisation.
Mr D'Astoli feels there are several reasons as to why the Dubbo site is pleasing.
"It provides a service that was previously unavailable, provides employment, reduces waste that goes into landfill and we (the business) generate an income stream." Mr D'Astoli said.
The region is home to three NSW Government Return and Earn facilities with two in Dubbo and one in Wellington.
Dubbo is also home to one of the states six St Vincent de Paul Bulk Container Deposit Sites.
The Dubbo region has recycled over 66 million drink containers since the Return and Earn sites were introduced in 2017.
