The NSW government has given $80,000 for a new playground in the village, topped up with $27,000 from Dubbo Regional Council.
Council received nine designs for the playground. From there, two have been chosen for the community to vote on.
The two options were chosen based on their design, high play value, durability, visual appeal, accessibility and compliance to set criteria and guidelines.
The first design from Moduplay includes both natural and contemporary elements.

There's a swing bay with a nest swing and toddler swing, an inclusive saucer swing, a hula rocker, free-standing voice tubes, a low level balance trail, plus a capital unit which offers climbing, sliding and imaginative play.
The second design is from Kompan.
It's a contemporary-style playground with a natural colour scheme that features a triple tower for the older children, featuring climbing nets, a bridge and a slide. The design also has a bird nest swing, spinner bowl and the motivator capital unit for toddlers that allows climbing, sliding and imaginative play.
The design with the highest number of votes will be awarded the contract for the supply and installation of the playground.
Dubbo mayor Ben Shields has encouraged the community to take ownership of the new facility.
"It's important that this is a decision made by the community of Brocklehurst, for the community of Brocklehurst. That's why we are giving locals the final choice of what design will be constructed," he said.
"This playground will give local families a designated space to enjoy and also hold social gatherings, so it's eagerly anticipated."
There are several ways for the community to vote for the best design.
There will be a drop-in marquee on the corner of Dubbo and Burraway streets on Saturday between 9am and 11am. Broklehurst residents will also be delivered a flyer with a special QR code.
Voting can also be done by emailing council@dubbo.nsw.gov.au.
The Broklehurst playground will be installed by June 2021.
