Another three were given funding through the Destination Events Fund: Newcastle Fringe, Dubbo Motor Bike Rally and Little Athletics NSW.
Round one of the Financial Assistance Program also went to three groups: Wellington Division of Orange Legacy, Ballimore Progress Association and Cerebral Palsy Alliance Dubbo.
Finally, eight groups were given money through the Bondangora Wind Farm Community Fund: Rotary Club of Wellington, Wellington Touch Football Association, Wellington Arts Centre, Orana Toy Library, Stuart Town Advancement Association, Wellington PCYC, Wellington Progress and Action Group and the Wellington Town Band.
Dubbo mayor Ben Shields said while the selection criteria was different for each fund, all the recipients had demonstrated their commitment to improving the community, whether it be through an event, or an organisation which helps individuals.
"It has been a tough year for organisations that have been unable to hold events and conduct fundraising so I am very pleased that council is able to step in and provide these grants," Cr Shields said.
"Whether organisations are preparing to host an event in 2021, purchase new equipment to benefit their members, or working to improve our community, this funding will ensure their great work continues.
"Congratulations to every group or organisation that received a grant and I look forward to seeing the positive outcomes next year."
