Essential Energy reports efforts continue to restore power to the last remaining pockets of the network still affected.
The majority of the more than 2000 customers in the wider Dubbo region with a disrupted supply were reconnected on Sunday.
Macquarie operations manager Jamie Warren said the storms brought with them wild winds, causing widespread damage to the electricity network.
"At the peak of the storms on Saturday evening, about 5500 customers were without power across Essential Energy's network, including more than 2000 customers in the wider Orana and north-west area," he said.
Crews worked across the weekend, making the electricity network safe and restoring power to customers wherever possible as quickly as safety allowed, he said.
As of 11am Monday, about 180 customers remain without supply, Essential Energy reports.
"Unplanned power outages are still affecting 30 customers in the wider Dubbo area including, Craboon, Dunedoo, Narromine and Trangie," Mr Warren said.
"We also have customers still impacted in areas around Nyngan, Nevertire, Tottenham, Trangie and Warren, however crews expect power will be restored to the majority of these customers by the end of today."
Additional crews were deployed to the area from surrounding depots to help with repairs and restoration efforts across the weekend.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank customers for their patience and understanding as we continue to complete repairs and restore power to customers," Mr Warren said.
Wind gusts reached speeds of 106km/h at Dubbo on Saturday evening and 126km/h at Trangie, Bureau of Meteorology data shows.
The State Emergency Service had dozens of jobs across a region including Nyngan, Nevertire, Warren, Trangie, Narromine, Dubbo and Gilgandra as a result of the severe storm.
