The school's South Campus was decorated with yellow markings, and faculty members pitched in making yellow wrist-bands for students to wear to show their support of the initiative recently.
"Our welfare framework is actually through South Cares and we've been doing that for the last eight years, and really emphasising what that stands for with us which is Courtesy, Achievement, Respect, Effort and Safety," Ms Ward said.
"When we heard that Dubbo Cares was launching this initiative to promote these very important conversations about mental health and checking in with others we knew we wanted to be involved."
"We had to get onboard, it's something we've been plugging for so long in our local community here."
In addition to the colour present on the day, the school also ran a competition for the students.
"We ran a competition where students could identify twenty teachers wearing yellow, they were entered into a draw and they'll win a My Dubbo Region shopping card that they can use throughout Dubbo," Ms Ward said.
"We're going to give two $50 vouchers out per year group and that'll be drawn at assembly next week."
Esther Davies also delivered a presentation to the students at assemblies as part of her role as the school's year 7 and 8 state representative in public speaking.
