"We anticipate that there will be lots of families exploring NSW, in particular regional NSW," Mr Hinks said.
"Our accommodation at the zoo is fully booked for the school holiday period and has been since late August, however tickets to the zoo are still available online."
Mr Hinks said so far, they are experiencing a 'steady stream' of ticket purchases online for the school holiday period.
"We are encouraging people to buy tickets early or register their visit if they are a zoo friend in advance to avoid any disappointment," he said.
Mr Hinks said the up and coming school holiday period is a 'really great opportunity for our region to continue bouncing back from what has been a tough three years', having battled the ongoing drought, followed by the summer bushfires in NSW and then the temporary closures and further restrictions due to COVID-19 since March.
"The visitors to the region will provide a positive boost to the local economy," he said.
Mr Hinks reiterated the zoo's continuous efforts to providing a COVID-19 safe environment.
"At the zoo, we are continuing to ensure quests safety with numerous safety measures in place including hand sanitising stations, germ screens, increased cleaning of high traffic areas and hard surfaces as well as staff who interact with guest will be wearing masks," he said.
