Father of seven, Nick Wilson was one of lucky dads who spent the day at the footy with his family, and watching son Rio playing for his junior team.
Daughters Amahlee and Frankie Wilson, who were at Apex Oval with their parents and siblings, had a special Father's Day message for their dad, Mr Wilson.
"He's a really kind dad," Amahlee said.
"We wouldn't be here without him and we love him."
The sisters may not be the biggest fans of the game in itself, but they still love going to the football with their dad.
"Our favourite thing to do with dad is to go in the pool," Amahlee said.
"What she said," Frankie said.
"That's my favourite thing to do, we love going in the pool with dad."
"But it is really fun going to the football with him, and taking his money," Amahlee said.
"My favourite part about going to the football is the canteen."
Amahlee said her and her sisters made their dad special cards for Father's Day.
"My sister also made dad a card saying that she would do anything he tells her to," Amahlee said.
Amahlee also wanted to let everyone know that her favourite animals are dogs and puppies.
She even brought a little puppy with her on Sunday to watch the football.
Frankie said her favourite animals are puppies and kittens.
Despite the lingering coronavirus pandemic and restrictions in place across the country, families were still able to make the most of the spring weather.
