Staff at headspace Dubbo are urging participation in the event which shows community support for LGBTIQA+ young people.
Its community and youth engagement coordinator Amy Mines says it's important to "take every opportunity to support diversity and foster safe and inclusive environments".

"Wear it Purple Day is a good chance to don our best piece of purple clothing or accessory and show our support for the same-sex attracted and gender diverse young people in our community, and reinforce that we have their back," she said.
Ms Mines said the COVID-19 pandemic had elevated the anxiety and stress levels of young people, particularly those "already vulnerable".
LGBTIQA+ social groups for youth under and over 16 years of age called Kaleidoscope and Rainbow Connection are hosted by headspace Dubbo. "..a place for young people to talk about what's going on in their lives, and focus on building community," Ms Mines said.
Wear it Purple Day began in 2010.
