The country singer-songwriter who finished her schooling in Dubbo was, like many artists, dealt a blow when COVID-19 all but halted live gigs but she's forging ahead with her career.
Known for her tribute to Patsy Cline at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, she has used the break from touring to get back into the studio for some "long overdue recording".
In May this year Nice To See You became her first original release in more than a decade. Little said she was really excited with the response from people across Australia.
"I've done interviews with radio presenters from Ryde to Kangaroo Island," she said.
"I made number 10 on the Country Thunder charts which is broadcast from Hong Kong and I've received emails from France, The Netherlands, the UK and the US.
"It's an amazing response for a girl born in Gil."
Each Sunday from 5-6pm Little performs live from her "lounge room to yours" via Facebook Live.
Nice To See You is the first single from an album due to be released in 2021.
Little says the song is a modern example of the western swing genre complete with fiddle from Luke Moller and pedal steel from Jy Perry Banks.
Little plans to release another single soon and is excited about recording with producer Michael Carpenter at Love Hz Studios in Leichhardt.
Little grew up at Mendooran before moving to Dubbo in 1998.
After finishing her schooling at Dubbo High School, she went on to study at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and now lives in Sydney's busy inner west, where as well as performing, she teaches at two primary schools.
In her career she's also performed at festivals and venues ranging from the Sydney Opera House to the legendary Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, USA.
