Council is the recipient of $440,000 in federal government funding that will be used to install tree pits, and the tree themselves in Bultje, Wingewarra and Talbragar streets.
As it currently stands, council is considering planting 22 new trees in Bultje Street, 17 in Wingewarra Street and 10 in Talbragar Street.

As well as providing more shade for pedestrians, the goal is to reduce the extreme summer temperatures from asphalt heat absorption.
However it will lead to the loss of some car parking spaces, especially in Talbragar and Wingewarra streets.
The public will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the proposed locations before they're finalised by council.
Dubbo mayor Ben Shields said the CBD a lot more appealing when there were "big, green, leafy trees about".
"It was very disappointing that we went into this awful drought and had to stop tree planting across the region, now we've seemingly got better conditions and now's the time to pick up that mantle and make sure Dubbo can be as green as it can be," Cr Shields said.
"This is a great start and I think we should always be looking at places where we can green up our city."
He pushed for the addition of more trees in the CBD in February.
Councillor John Ryan said it had been "fairly depressing" when it came to trees across the city with a lot of old trees having to be removed because they were too old or diseased.
"It's great to see that finally, after nearly four years of drought, we'll be able to plant trees and have the expectation that they're going to grow and be there for future generations," he said.
Council is also looking at replacing the missing trees in Macquarie Street, however it will be undertaken under a different funding opportunity.
The proposed tree planting locations will go on exhibition for 28 days to allow for the public to provide feedback before the plan is finalised by council.
