The social media movement that has lifted rural morale out of the doldrums in the past 12 months is sending a "daily dose of the bush via Instagram" to the city that's been in the grips of a COVID-19 battle for weeks.
Recently a post to its page acknowledged the plight of Melbourne, noting the city had "shown us great love" during the past year and wishing to send the city "our wide open spaces and starry skies".
Posts with the message "love ya Melbs" have become regular on Buy from the Bush and sister page Stay in the Bush.
Mrs Brennan told the Daily Liberal care and connection was as important as ever.
"There is something universal about what we are all going through," she said.
"In a weird way, there is comfort in that.
"I think it's an opportunity for online communities like Buy from the Bush to provide symbolic support for people in lockdown at the moment.
"It's another way to bring city and country together."
Mrs Brennan recognised the hardships and grief faced by Victorians.
"While rural communities know what it is like to endure long periods of financial uncertainty and even social isolation, we have the glorious privilege of space and open skies which our friends in lockdown in Melbourne do not," she said.
"We are sending them a daily dose of the bush via our Instagram at the moment and getting lovely messages of gratitude from followers in Melbourne.
"Sometimes the little things matter."
On Sunday Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews extended the state of emergency declaration by another four weeks.
