After winning on debut at Bathurst last month the Gerald Ryan-trained colt saluted under a fine ride from Adrian Layt in Friday's Kings Hall Jewellers Silver Goblet (110m) at Dubbo Turf Club.
Many talented gallopers have emerged from the Goblet and Conscript might be one to watch moving forward after winning by close to three lengths on Friday.
While it finished a commanding win there was still work for Layt to do in the saddle.
The in-form jockey wasn't in the saddle for the Bathurst win, it was Jay Ford for osehill-based Ryan on that occasion, but there was no problem early on as he got away well from gate eight at Dubbo.

Layt worked his way across to the rails with Conscript ($4.40), settling down third as Kris Lees' $2.50 favourite Triple Ace and and Dar Lunn-trained hometown hope Praline ($17) went hard out early.
The leading pairs' lead narrowed as the field turned for home, with Conscript and The Affirmative ($41) applying the pressure while Nicator ($3.80) wound up wide on the track.
Triple Ace and Praline kept punching on at the top of the straight but a perfect rails run developed for Layt.
He took it and kept rolling forward, moving alongside Triple Ace while Praline faded.
He took the lead with relative ease and powered forward to score in comfortable fashion.
Triple Ace hung on for second while Nicator, after struggling to find a clear run in the straught, finished off well for third.
The win was the first this month for Group 1 winner Ryan but could be part of a handy couple of days as he will saddle up Bandersnatch in Saturday's $100,000 Sky Racing Active Handicap (1300m).
The result in the Goblet was part of an early double for Layt at Dubbo.
Layt also rattled home along the rails with the Cameron Crockett-trained Primal Scream in the Regional Australia Bank Class 1 Handicap (1110m).
He won ahead of Twice The Value and Head On.
