It's currently only Burger Urge in Macquarie Street that has an outdoor dining component that spills onto the street. However, at the council meeting on Tuesday night, the outdoor dining policy is likely to be extended.
If approved by the councillors, cafes and restaurants on Talbragar, Darling, Brisbane, Cobra, Bultje and Wingewarra streets within the central business district will also be able to apply to council for outdoor dining.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
Council will also be updated on the plan to make the city's CBD more lively.
Tuesday night's council meeting will be held at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre.
It's the first time the councillors will be in the same room for a meeting since March.
However, the public has not been invited to attend. Residents will have to follow along via the Dubbo Regional Council website or Facebook page.
Anyone wishing to make a submission will need to submit it to council before 12pm Tuesday. It will then be read out at the meeting.
At the committee meetings, the councillors will also need to make a decision on surplus Crown Lands.
An analysis of council's 193 Crown Land reserves has found 33 which have been discovered to have no purpose in council's future planning.
There are four reasons land could be considered surplus: the land use isn't consistent with open space and recreation, it's no longer required for its initial purpose or the land management is better suited to a different organisation.
The public will get a chance to have a say on the Crown Lands when it is placed on public exhibition.
Then the parcels of land will likely be transferred to NSW government management.
The development and environment, infrastructure and liveability, and culture, economy and corporate committees will meet from 5.30pm.
