The Orana Arts Soup Sessions have gone online this year due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Artists are invited to pitch their creative ideas on four different topics and the audience can like and share their Facebook posts to vote for their favourite.
The winner in each category will receive $500 to put their idea into fruition.
Orana Arts executive officer Alicia Leggett said there had been such a positive response from the artists who were appreciative of the opportunity.

She said a project like this would quickly generate income for artists in these "dire and uncertain times".
"We know a lot of projects have hit a hiatus until further notice. We hoped to keep spirits high in the creative world and do our bit to support artists in the region," Ms Leggett said.
"Artists are already stuck at home creating so why not pay them and showcase their incredible talents while the world is online more than ever?"
The executive officer said she expected there would be a low uptake in the beginning but felt confident that after the first session the audience and artists would embrace the concept.
The shutdowns have immensely impacted the earnings of independent artists.
"Without access to events, festivals and markets, artists have lost a good part of their financial income for the year," Ms Leggett said.
"The government's financial support packages don't account for how artists work and earn, so I'm hoping this little bit draws attention to the need for better understanding and funding around the arts."
For the participants, $500 could be rent, food or living support while they were waiting for their future projects to be reinvented under COVID-19 restrictions, Ms Leggett said.
"We also hope the audience can become more engaged and understanding when it comes to livelihoods being affected. Most importantly, an artist's entire career is dependant on reaching audiences, we hope we can generate or encourage more individuals to follow and engage with the participating artists," she said.
By taking part, the audience will not only be entertained but they'll be supporting local and regional artists.
The four topics covered in the Soup Sessions are: a nation of one, love in the time of corona, places in the mind and cocoon.
They will be posted every two weeks.
