A "local husband and wife developer team" has bought four properties near the L H Ford Bridge with an accommodation project in mind.

Their names and the sale price have not been released by Andrew McDonald Commercial Dubbo but its sales and leasing consultant Dan Wilson is "excited" about what may emerge at a prominent intersection in the city.
"Watch this space," Mr Wilson said this week.
"We are all excited to see what Dubbo's main intersection could look like in years to come."

The four properties were bundled into a 2765-square- metre development site and put on the market early last year.
At the time Mr Wilson spoke confidently of it attracting "interest at $1.5 million or above".
Inquiries about the development opportunity with SP3 tourist zoning came from across the nation but included "strong local interest", he reported.
"There were lots of inquiries from various types of users, ranging from fuel use and accommodation to food and beverage businesses," Mr Wilson said this week.
Two-and-a-half months ago the couple who have bought the site made contact.
"Both the purchasers and the vendors are happy with the process and the results achieved," Mr Wilson said.
The properties will remain in their current format for several years yet whilst the new owners source plans for development and relevant planning permissions.

Last year he told of developers being keen to know how much income the properties generated given the time it took to plan and execute a development.
Mr Wilson had foreshadowed the likelihood of the site not being developed quickly.
"The properties will remain in their current format for several years yet whilst the new owners source plans for development and relevant planning permissions," he said on Wednesday.
"The future intended use will be of an accommodation nature."
