The Gilgandra couple scored the quinella in the feature event on Monday, owning the victorious A Magic Zariz as well as second placegetter A Martin Placepick.
Cecil Hodgson had previously trained A Magic Zariz for the Prouts but following his retirement the tough-as-nails gelding was sent to the Nyngan stables of Rodney Robb.
Monday's cup marked his first win since the switch while also continuing his stellar record at the Narromine track.
The Diggers Cup marked A Magic Zariz's fifth event at Narromine Jockey Club and the win took his record to four wins and a second.

Despite rarely producing a poor run and running second in cups at Gilgandra and Scone this preparation there wasn't a whole lot of love for Robb's hope in Monday's feature.
A Magic Zariz jumped an $18 hope while the bulk of the focus was on the $1.75 favourite Sneak Preview.
Trained at Dubbo by Kody Nestor, Sneak Preview was making a first start since running in the $400,000 Country Championships Final at Randwick earlier in the month.
Both A Magic Zariz and the favourite settled deep in the field, running ahead of only Vega De Lago ($31) while Dean Mirfin's Jetgirl ($9) set the pace.
California Fox ($13) from the Dubbo stables of Allan Gibson also pushed forward while British gelding Whoseyourhousemate ($6) was also part of the leading pack.
The latter, trained by Sunday's Tamworth Cup winner Cody Morgan, pushed up to second as the field approached the turn for home.
Gallagher started getting going on A Magic Zariz and peeled around the extreme outside turning for home while Nick Heywood and Sneak Preview looked for a run through the middle of the track.
Sneak Preview was checked slightly, hampering his progress, while A Magic Zariz had nothing but clear air in front of him.
There was plenty of pressure produced by the fast-finishing A Martin Placepick ($26) and Sneak Preview kicked again but Gallagher spurred his mount on to victory.
A Magic Zariz won by three-quarter-of-a-length from A Martin Placepick and Sneak Preview.
