On May 1 the council will launch DRC&ME, which it reports is "mobile and tablet friendly".
Users of DRC&ME will be able to do everything from paying rates and lodging and tracking their requests, to reporting water restriction breaches and requesting green bin liners.

"Any interaction customers have had with council in the past, they'll be able to do it online, any time, and have the capacity to track their request instantly, once they have registered their account," its manager customer experience Caitlin Colliver said.
"While council's friendly staff will continue to help members of the public in traditional ways, we want to ensure the community still has access to council services outside the normal operating hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday."
