INVESTIGATIONS are underway after an unregistered trail bike and an unmarked police Toyota Landcruiser collided in Broken Hill.

At 4.40pm on Wednesday, officers from Broken Hill Target Action Group were patrolling when they saw a trail bike in Chapple lane.
The motorbike was allegedly travelling towards them on the wrong side of the road and in excess of the posted speed limit.
As the police vehicle turned onto Chapple Lane the trail bike collided with it.
The 27-year-old rider was arrested at the scene before being taken to Broken Hill Base Hospital for treatment to minor injuries. He will also undergo blood and urine testing.
The officers were not injured, and inquiries continue.
