Flags flew at half-mast across Victoria on Thursday in honour of the officers who died in a horror crash at Kew.
Dubbo Rescue Squad said the crash was tragic news.
"Our thoughts are with the families and all emergency services involved during this very sad time," the squad said in a post to social media.
Police Association of NSW president Tony King said the incident impacted all members.
"The loss of the four fallen police officers in Victoria is felt deeply and widely throughout NSW by all 17,000 serving police officers," he said.
"The pain and grief across the entire police family knows no jurisdictional boundaries.
"This is a cruel and tragic reminder, if one was ever needed, that when officers are on duty they are likely to face dangers and risks that most people will never, ever have to encounter.
"The Police Association of New South Wales, including our members in Dubbo, stand in solidarity alongside The Police Association of Victoria and Victoria Police in expressing our heartfelt compassion for the family, colleagues and friends of the deceased officers."
NSW Police also paid tribute on social media.
"It is with the heaviest of hearts that we send our condolences to our colleagues at Victoria Police for the tragic loss of four officers last night," it said.
"Their memories will not be forgotten.
"Today we honour you."
