The Australian award will offer people an opportunity to travel overseas and investigate a topic they are passionate about.
A Churchill Fellowship is a "unique" Australian award that supports people from diverse backgrounds while they explore an issue of their choosing, anywhere in the world.
In 2018, Dubbo coachbuilder Robert Siemsen received a Fellowship and visited the UK to further his understanding of the traditional craft of automotive coachbuilding.
In 2016, Dubbo truck driver and road safety advocate Rod Hannifey received the NRMA-ACT Road Safety Trust Churchill Fellowship which he used to research heavy vehicle road safety practices in the UK, the United States and Canada.
