Darwin is a male with medium brown skin and a white patch under his chin and on his neck. His paws and tail are also white.
Darwin's owner Alex Caldin said there had been sightings of Darwin around the Minore Road area but is advising people "not to approach him."
"We think he is still in the Minore Road area as there was a sighting of him there on the evening of Sunday, December 22," Ms Caldin said.
"If you see him, please don't try to approach him unless he can't run because he is injured or too weak. He is very scared, and this may drive him further away. He may also be frightened of other dogs, especially off the lead. He may be attracted by the sound of a tin rattling as I would do this to offer him a treat."
Ms Caldin said she is "desperate" to find Darwin and is becoming more and more worried.
Ms Caldin said he was comforted by the outpouring of help and love from the Dubbo community and beyond.
"I have so many people to be grateful to who have gone above and beyond for us," she said.
"In particular, the Learners on Leads community who have been so amazing, and have been out day and night doing everything they can to find him. Karen from Learners on Leads' husband is also away fighting the fires, and she has still found the time to devote to my boy.
"Megan from Narellan Pools has been brilliant, printing flyers and out searching so much, my wonderful neighbours have also been amazing and my lovely friends who have searched and fetched and carried whatever I have asked.
"Mark, the Dubbo City Ranger has been so helpful. Ella from Whippet rescue NSW quickly got in touch to lend her expertise and kindness, and so many other kind people who have contacted me with advice or a hopeful word.
"If you are in the area and looking for him please be mindful of the landowners in Minore Road, who have also been very helpful.
"If you should catch him, his vet is McGinness in Bourke Street, and they are aware of the situation."
