Delia Bennett, of Gulgong, was pulled up by police on the Goolma Road at Wuuluman at about 6.10am on August 28.
She appeared before Dubbo Local Court last Wednesday and wanted Magistrate Gary Wilson to record no conviction and issue a small fine less than the $920 fine automatically imposed by Transport for NSW.
However when Bennett's driving record was examined, magistrate Wilson said it appeared she was a "far from perfect" driver.
The court heard Bennett, who works as a carer in Dubbo, was previously caught speeding more than 12 times.
"It's not as if she comes here with an unblemished record...she'll just have to wear the consequences of the suspension," magistrate Wilson said.
After the court heard Bennett completed a traffic offender program and cared for her disabled husband, she was issued with a $400 fine.
