Eligible drought-affected farmers will be able to claim up to $50,000 through the NSW Government's Emergency Drought Transport Subsidy (EDTS) - a boost of $10,000.

The Government says the cap increase would provide extra relief for farmers, with many already reaching the previous $40,000 threshold.
"We know our farmers are doing it tough, but the NSW Government will continue to do all it can to help them navigate through the worst drought in living memory," NSW Agriculture Minister Adam Marshall said.
"As I travel across the State I've spoken to many people wanting more access to the EDTS, which is why we're increasing the cap by $10,000."
"The EDTS has been a hugely popular program. Since 2018, more than 14,500 applications have been approved, paying out nearly $120 million."
"We can't make it rain, but we will continue to adapt our support measures for as long as it takes to get our hard-working farmers through these unprecedented conditions."
The Emergency Drought Transport Subsidy provides drought affected farmers in NSW with subsidies for the transport of fodder, water and stock. Subsidies may be used to transport:
. Stock to and from agistment;
. Stock to sale or slaughter;
. Fodder or water to stock on drought affected properties.
