Dubbo chapter president Mick Etheridge said the ATA is keen to build a local and regional presence to stand up for taxpayers in the Central West.
"For too long, regional issues have been sidelined or ignored by the Canberra and Macquarie Street establishment," Mr Etheridge said.
"With our Dubbo chapter we hope to hear from and advocate on behalf of the people of the wider western plains area in order to hold the powers to be accountable.

"Our campaigns this year inlcide standing against high electricity prices, standing for long-needed tax relief for Australians, opposing unfair trading restrictions and tax hikes on alcohol and sugar.
"Locally we are fighting for the Troy Bridge Road bypass and not the River Street bridge."
The ATA claim they have more than 75,000 members which represent the interests of Australian taxpayers.
Mr Etheridge says the ATA stands for individual freedoms of taxpayers and is working against government waste.
"It is important to oppose wasteful government spending," Mr Etheridge said.
