In fact, Mrs Warnett looked vibrant as she celebrated her one-hundredth birthday surrounded by friends and family at the Orana Gardens Aged Care Home.
A highlight of the celebrations was Mrs Warnett singing 'You Are My Sunshine' to the crowd.
"It's been a lovely day surrounded by family and friends," Mrs Warnett said.
The centenarian received letters from Queen Elizabeth II, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Member for Parkes, Mark Coulton and the honourable David John Hurley, AC, DSC, FTSE.
Mrs Warnett's son Terry Warnett said his mother is the "best thing that has ever happened to him."
"As mum always said, be good, be honest, look after your mates and have a good life. So that's what we're going to do," Mr Warnett said.
"You only get one mother, so you've got to be good to her.
Mrs Warnett grew up in the bush and survived the bombing of London during the war, but still screamed the house down the day her son planted a dead snake among her washing.
She is renowned as a strong but gentle woman.
She loves writing, singing, and playing the piano, and judging by those gathered at her birthday party, is incredibly loved and appreciated by all who know her.
