A MAN has died and two other men have been transported to hospital following a crash between a truck and a bus on Tuesday morning.

Shortly after 7.30am emergency services responded to the Newell Highway, south of Dubbo, where the collision occurred.
NSW Ambulance zone manager Superintendent Stewart Clarke said five paramedic crews, two supervisors and a rescue helicopter responded to the crash scene.
"Paramedics assessed one patient who suffered significant injuries as a result of the collision," he said.
"Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the patient could not be resuscitated and died at the scene.
"Two other patients have been assessed for minor injuries and are in a stable condition. They will be transported to Dubbo Base Hospital.
Superintendent Clarke said it was a tragic incident for all involved and he encouraged people to take care on country roads.

THE Newell Highway is closed in both directions south of Dubbo due to a truck and bus crash.
The crash occurred around 7.50am on Tuesday near Ascot Park Road.
At this stage the number of people involved and any injuries sustained is unknown.
Emergency services are on scene and a rescue helicopter has been dispatched to the crash site.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area and allow extra travel time with diversions in place.
Northbound motorists travelling between Tomingley and Dubbo should divert off the highway at Tomingley, take Tomingley Road to Narromine, then the Mitchell Highway to Dubbo.
Southbound motorists are being diverted at Dubbo onto Obley Road, then onto Gundong Road to re-join Newell Highway in Tomingley.
The highway is likely to be closed for some time.
